You might recall that last year, I shared a tutorial on The Sewing Rabbit for a Rabbit Rug, not long after that I used the same “design” to make a small pillow for my friend Patricia’s baby shower (here). This year my team at Cose + and I decided to use the Rabbit for an Easter project to share with our readers. As I started thinking on that project a bunch of other ideas started flowing. From those I decided to share at Cose + a kids craft project, perfect for Easter break, totally inspired on this one here from hello, Wonderful. You can check the project on Cose + here, it’s in Portuguese but the photos on the tutorial give a pretty clear idea on how to make it.
Today I’m sharing another thing you can do with the “easter rabbit”: a cute “no sew” placemat. I tried a few things that didn’t work, probably due to my lack of craftiness, but I finally settled on a very simple super quick project that will add some cuteness to the table setting during Easter.
Rabbit Placemat with Free Pattern
Supplies:
- Rabbit Placemat Free Pattern (get it here)
- Felt rectangles on the desired colors with approximately 55x40cm, and at least 3mm thick
- Scissors or X-Acto knife
- Clear Tape
- Soluble marker or tailor chalk
Download the pattern, print and assemble like any other PDF pattern. Make sure you print on 100% scale. The pattern includes a test square on the first page.
Cut the rabbit following the black line.
Place the rabbit pattern on top of the felt and trace de contour.
Cut the rabbit you marked on the felt.
Bam you’re done! Cuteness at the table that the kids will love.
Perfect for real meals or pretend ones. hehehe 😉
Happy Easter!!!
Hugs. ❤
Muito bom. Adoro todas as versões deste coelhinho mas a minha favorita é a que anda cá por casa feita por ti! 😉 ❤
seriously this is so cute. and looks amazing! ❤
This is adorable and I know it will be a hit in my house — whether for “real” or “pretend” play!
